From PCGamingWiki, the wiki about fixing PC games

This is a list of games where the players control a round object (or the stage around it) through a 3D obstable course, with very heavy reliance on physics engines.

It is not yet decided whether to give an official taxonomy about this the status of "Genre: Marble roller" or "Vehicle: Ball".

Also qualified: Racing games where spheric balls are selectable vehicles (Stunt Rally, Rock of Ages 2: Bigger & Boulder); games where the sphere is a living entity of its own (Crumble, Skully); games modelled on classic physical marble mazes with death holes (Pivot Puzzles, Mazement), isometric perspectives (Marble Trap)
Disqualified: Games where the marbles can not actually be controlled (Marbles on Stream, InkBall); 2D sideview perspectives (Marble Mayhem: Fragile Ball); pinball (3D Pinball for Windows - Space Cadet)

Strictly speaking not balls, they're just non-permanently round creatures
