The 64-bit executable crashes immediately after running and showing a black screen.

The 64-bit copy of the game, which can be downloaded and merged into the Steam game folder (follow instructions) does not run. Instead it creates a black screen and then crashes and exits.

Any compatibility mode checked? Did you try running it also as admin? Did you try to run with parameter -dx9?
