I was trying to test out playing Doom 1 and 2 on the BFG Edition and for some reason every time I finish the level and get into the intermission screen after the level, the game crashes when loading the next level. I don't know why this happens with the standard Doom 3: BFG Edition but plays fine without issues on the RBDoom3BFG source port. Has anyone found a fix or solution for fixing this issue besides the source port? I'm playing on the GOG release of the game.

I think I may have found the cause of the crashes and it's possibly GOG's Galaxy client installed on my computer. Before when I had it installed the game crashed when I tried to play the classic Doom games and recently found crash with trying to get the hi-score for Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 mini-game and the game crashed when I got around 25,000 points. After completely removing GOG Galaxy off my computer, the game didn't crash on me since. I don't know if this is linked to something GOG did when they packaged the game on their store, but it seems that GOG Galaxy is the cause of these crashes.
