Game doesn't work on Windows 10
Use "The Win 3.1 Fix Project"
|
- Download "The Win 3.1 Fix Project"
- Unzip the folder
The Dark Eye Fix somewhere on your computer.
- Insert The Dark Eye CD, go to the folder on the disc called
SETUP .
- Inside that folder is the file
DKYINSTL.EXE .
- Open the
The Dark Eye Fix folder and find the program otvdm.exe .
- Drag
DKYINSTL.EXE from the CD into otvdm.exe .
- During install, make sure to uncheck "QuickTime For Windows 2.03".
- After Install, go to
<path-to-game> .
- Drag
DARKEYE.EXE into otvdm.exe and the game should start.
- The game is made for 640×480, set the resolution to either that or 800x600 for full screen.
