Odd, it does not work for me, wierd, and also i dont recall removing the TRON 2.0 windowed note

Redrain85 (talkcontribs)

I noticed you altered the note to state that weapons can't have AA, only the world geometry. But, again, I can provide evidence that AA is applied even to weapons.

TRON 2.0 Disc Primitive with no AA

TRON 2.0 Disc Primitive with AA forced

Look at the stripes on the disc. Aliasing (jaggies) in the first screenshot, no aliasing in the second shot. You can also notice the difference on the arm, if you look closely.

Odd, it does not do that for me, do you use a amd card?

Platinummatthew (talkcontribs)

solved the problem, i changed it from "Force Setting" to "Enhance Setting" lets just delete the thread and forget this ever happened sorry or the misunderstanding

Redrain85 (talkcontribs)

Yup, I currently own an AMD card. But I also owned an NVIDIA card in the past, and I recalled being able to force AA on everything in TRON 2.0 as well.

I actually think you should add your discovery as a note to AA section of the page. On the AMD side of things, there are less options when it comes to forcing AA. You just set the Catalyst Control Center to "Override application settings" and you're done. On the NVIDIA side of things in the Control Panel, you have both "Enhance" and "Override".

I did some reading, and it seems the NVIDIA driver will only use the "Override" setting on applications/games it recognizes from a predetermined list. It looks like that's why AA didn't work for you. Whereas with "Enhance" it will apparently just implement the selected AA on top of what's already there (other forms of AA or no AA), regardless.

Release date of MacPlay version

The MacPlay OSX version of TRON 2.0 was released in 2004, not 2003.

Press release mentioning MacPlay version being released in 2004

Although this states the game was to have been released in May 2004, it actually released earlier on April 21, 2004. Unfortunately, though, I cannot find a source to cite for the earlier release date.
