Whenever I activate the widescreen patch, player and NPC animations at certain points seem to jet out. Like when I have a guard hostage, sometimes our heads gets thrown to our shoulders, or when a guard is talking his head will spin 180 degrees. Also, if a light is attached by a chord, it flails around. Is there a fix for this? If so, let me know as well as the wiki know as soon as possible. Thank you if this gets responded to soon.
Talk:Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
I have never heard of this happening before, have you tried a fresh reinstall of the game?
Me neither.
Single-player frame rate is originally capped at 100 FPS. Does your FPS exceed this value? Eventually, try out limiting your frame rate to 60FPS.
If playing coop, limit your framerate to 30. This does sound like a high framerate issue.
Somewhere in 2015 I had backed up the game installation to external drive. It just works on fresh installation where Uplay is absent.
Checked out current version. It does require uplay.
If there's way to downgrade game depot, we might have a possibility to get unprotected executable. Though I have the executable, an uploading to web is probably legally questionable.
First of all, dolby is not a middleware
Secondly I find really difficult that a computer game could had embedded dolby digital... I mean.. I'm so suspicious that even if dolby logo was shown on startup and in credits I would think it's just a console remnant (and indeed this is the case in BFBC2)
It's not even like I didn't find anything for SC:CT (see this and this) but... please do some tests
Unfortunately, testing for specific audio middleware is beyond my skill set. Simply put, whatever middleware I do state is only because it was mentioned in the startup splash screens, the manuals, or the credits.
In this case, the Dolby Digital logo is plastered in the audio settings screenshot.

Ok, assuming this (for SC1), I guess my point stands.
EDIT: Uh, never mind?
EDIT2: mhh.. perhaps you were right
