Just added a new fix: Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters during launch with certain AMD GPUs on Windows 10

This is a pretty specific issue which it seems, can only occur on a AMD Vega GPUs. Also HBCC is not enabled by default, I just started to test it. I tested this on a fresh install of Windows 10. Can anyone else confirm HBCC crashing Sims 2?

simsnetwork.com/tools/graphics-rules-maker

Mrpenguinb (talkcontribs)

It has already been added to the page, just in a different section. Graphics Rule maker is NOT a mod. It irritates me when people call tools or fixes "mods". Often people call FreeSO a mod (remake of The Sims Online's engine), even though it is a complete re-implementation (recreation) and is indepedent from the game other than using existing assets (legal reasons).

Graphics Rule maker can be placed under tools I suppose, which is under the mod section. A bit of a misleading title.

Sorry.

It is fine. Nothing to worry about, just need to read the entire article before saying something. I struggle with saying something before reading something properly (acting before reading/thinking) all the time.

Smooth edges have a driver version check

I'm thinking either keypoint or Origin note are incorrect as I can play Origin version of ultimate collection under Windows 10 just fine. Or is this something that is effecting the disc version only?

Garrett (talkcontribs)

This change only affects retail games using a driver or other forms of injection to verify the disc's authenticity. This does not affect other DRM implementations. Disc checks that don't use such methods still work as expected.

Some games had protection removed as part of a later patch (while still keeping a basic disc check). This might be the case for The Sims 2 but I don't a retail version to test this myself.

There has NEVER been problems with SecuROM to begin with.
