After many years, Monopoly Tycoon's music has been fixed. The music broke in Windows Vista mysteriously and no one knew what broke. Until around 2012-2014 VirtualIceMan (over on VOGONS.org) discovered the missing Windows Media Source Filter codec in Windows Vista. This broke Ford Racing 2 and Test Drive 6 along with Monopoly Tycoon.
The codec requires three .DLL files, dxmasf.dll, strmdll.dll and drmclien.dll to stream .wma files. ZellSF thought the dxmasf.dll was functioning properly and so did VirtualIceMan. The dxmasf.dll in Windows Vista and later is a stub., so that means it is only a facade of what it once was. Once all the relevant .DLL's are placed in SysWOW64 and dxmasf.dll is registered, the codec appears once again.
