So...how do you actually install Peixoto's patch?

I've seen this websites says Peixoto's patch is an essential patch for a bunch of games but there's no instructions whatsoever on how to actually install or use it.

The download page and the zip file itself contain no instructions, either, and the creator seems to require payment for any kind of "support". Why on earth anyone would pay money to find out how to use a patch before they can even know if it works well is beyond me.

Can someone please clarify how to actually install Peixoto's patch?

This program contains a collection of patches for old windows games, increasing their compatibility with newer windows versions, fixing bugs, glitches, poor frame rates and also improving the games with things like forced resolution, widescreen and modding tools

It is also possible to create your own patches with the program's user interface which allows you to create new game profiles and cofigure several tweaks for each profile

More detailed documentation can be viewed clicking on Peixoto.bat - it launches program\qt\HelpQt.exe which is simply autohotkey (https://autohotkey.com) and runs the script program\qt\HelpQt.ahk which you can inspect with any text editor

Dependencies: - Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86) - Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010 or latter)

Keyboard, mouse and controller issues

Just playing this game recently, and there's some keyboard, mouse, and controller issues.

  • The mouse has weird acceleration issues that can't be turned off.
  • Controls are simple-ish, but you will need to rebind to be comfortable.
  • When using a controller, you'll need to rebind the keys and there's no analog support. It's like digital PlayStation 1 controls.
  • Menu's are keyboard and mouse controlled exclusively. You'll probably need an external application to bind it properly to a controller.
  • The game's camera is weird. Pressing right on the right thumb stick points the camera upward, and pushing to the left points the camera down. Sense does not make.

In conclusion, this game was made for the console and you have to use an external remapping tool to test\bind your controls however you see fit.

Otherwise, game works perfectly as it goes up to 1080p and you can crank the framerate up to 144FPS without issues. Windows 7 and Steam version.
