Just got the game on a Steam sale and it definitely supports X360 controller (via DS4Windows).

Probably because it maps the mouse to the joysticks. Natively, without external tools or Steam Input, it does not however.

DS4W doesn't map the mouse to the joystick, unless you configure it to do so. By default it simply emulates XInput. All the game can see is an XInput controller, which means Gorogoa is XInput compatible.
