I assume all of this is based on FS2Open? While I love that thing (and used it myself) it has no place on this page, and should be entirely removed from game info - only recommended as a solution to problems. Unless someone released official OS X/Linux packages, in which case, source please.

FreeSpace 2 is sold for OS X and Linux on Desura.

Ah, then that should be noted somewhere. Probably in the past tense, cause that's all going to disappear soon.

I think it might be a good idea to link to the instructions for how to install Freespace Open. The best and most current instructions appear to be here: Instructions for manually installing FreeSpace Open and mods (Windows) (there's links there for Mac and Linux as well). These newer instructions are linked to at the top of the wiki page linked to on the given FreeSpace Open homepage under "Getting Started", but I'm concerned that people will try to use the wiki's outdated instructions/installer and run into errors (I couldn't get the given .jar installer to install FS Open properly on my Mac, and the result was that I had to "chmod +x" the FS_Open executable and move some installed files around, and even then the game wouldn't render anything in-mission. The manual instructions, however, worked great without much, if any, tinkering.).

Just a small side note, but FS_Open 3.6.14 is out, which is in part why the wiki's installation instructions and installer are outdated.

I figured this constituted a major edit, possibly with questionable value, so I was hesitant to do the edit myself, hence this discussion post.
