Whoever tried this game in Windows 10, can you please try my tutorial on how to switch out Java versions. AFAIK Java 7 had some issues with Windows 10, updating it may solve this issue.

I didn't use that exact method (I ran the JAR through a newer Java with a command line parameter) but the end result is the same; I've had no crashes so far.
OK.. keep in mind that the windows version runs from the exe file and not the JAR file..
