DXVK as a performance fix

I feel this is awkward, but I should mention this here for info and figuring this out because I sure don't know what to do with this since it seems so disconnected from others' experience with the fix. I added the DXVK fix to the page after seeing it work for others and introducing it to an acquaintance of mine to find that it worked perfectly for them, but when I got the game and tried it, it made performance worse. It even resulted in an incoherent glitch, it broke controller support so that the game didn't detect my controller at all when it did without DXVK. This is so odd because DXVK works just great on other programs on the same computer, it absolutely supports Vulkan, seeming to improve performance on Deus Ex GMDXv10 via using the same Dx9 wrapper on its Dx9 renderer, and I don't even know where to start on it breaking controller support. The same wrapper works just fine on Crazy Taxi 3 without breaking controller support or any issues. I can't make heads or tails of it so I'll leave the details here in case it helps anyone else:

The mod setup: I used the controller fix along with DXVK 1.7.2 as well as the music replacement; I think the same issue came up without the controller fix but I'm not sure. The controller: I play using a Dualshock 4 controller on DS4Windows (current version 2.1.15) and it worked just fine on Crazy Taxi Steam without DXVK (using the hide the controller option did not fix the issue.) The PC: cpu- Intel i7-5500U gpu- GTX 960M 2GB OS- Windows 10 version 10.0.18363 Build 18363

It could be that the Steam version of Crazy Taxi doesn't properly support DualShock 4; I haven't used DS4Windows in a long time, but without it the game doesn't want to work with it on its configuration tool, and even with Steam's Input wrapper, the game wouldn't play properly with a DualShock 4. I didn't think I had performance issues on the same PC that I'm using either on DualShock 4 with DXVK and either stock or controller fix executables.

Follow-up report: Nope, even with the game's busted DualShock 4 compatibility, even the game's attract mode (gameplay demo) worked fine and didn't show any performance issues with DXKV on my end.

Oh you misunderstand, the game detects the controller with DS4Windows *without* DXVK but it does not detect the controller with DXVK. Even though it works on other games with DS4Windows it doesn't work with this one on my end for whatever reason.

Like I said, I haven't used DS4Windows in a long time (and was too lazy to re-install it).

Ah, update! As of now with the current "hide DS4 Controller" DS4windows option (3.0.13 though 3.0.10 worked too) and the current version of DXVK (1.9.1) the game now runs at a smooth 60 fps with unnoticeable drops to 59 fps, but only in windowed mode. Fullscreen mode still has odd performance issues, but I'm good with using integerScaler for borderless fullscreen. The frame pacing sucks if you play it with vsync off, but with it on it's clean. It's all working good now!

Please someone add crazy taxi 3
