Rockman X Math Whirlwind is a singleplayer side view and text-based educational and platform game in the Mega Man X series.

The game was launched only in Taiwan^{[Note 1]} in 1998.

As the game installer is using a 16-bit setup program, 64-bit versions of Windows will need a workaround to install the game.

Using dgVoodoo2 to run in Windowed mode^[1]

Download the latest stable version of dgVoodoo2.
Extract to a temporary folder.
Copy ddraw.dll from MS\x86 folder in the temporary extracted folder to the game directory.
Copy dgVoodoo.conf and dgVoodooCpl.exe from the temporary extracted folder to the game directory.
Launch dgVoodooCpl.exe.
Right click on dgVoodoo banner and select Show all sections of the configuration
Select Windowed under Appearance in General tab, untick Application controlled fullscreen/windowed state under Behavior in DirectX tab, and tick Enable GDI hooking under Miscellanneous in GeneralExt tab.
Tick Borderless and Fullscreen size under Windowed mode attributes in GeneralExt tab.
Tick Fake under Fullscreen mode attributes in the same tab.
Select OK or Apply button to save the setting.

Set up borderless fullscreen windowed mode^[2]
Follow the steps listed in Windowed mode. Untick Borderless and Fullscreen size under Windowed mode attributes in GeneralExt tab. Untick Fake under Fullscreen mode attributes in the same tab. Select OK or Apply button to save the setting.

Manual installation
