Key points

PC version offers very limited options menu and doesn't allow to rebind keys.
Steam overlay is poorly implemented and doesn't stop the game from performing an action when a key is pressed. Can also cause framerate problems.
Online services have been taken offline as of February 2015.[2]

Issues fixed

Vsync stuttering

On some configurations Vsync stuttering may appear, resulting in huge frame rate drops.
Vsync Stuttering[citation needed]
  • Force triple buffering in your Nvidia/ATI panel
  • Force Vsync off.[4]
  • Alternatively, Nvidia users may also try Adaptive Vsync.

Framerate Issues

Steam Overlay is poorly implemented and can cause framerate problems when playing.
Disable Steam Overlay
  • Right click on 'Ridge Racer™ Unbounded' in your Steam library and click 'Properties'.
  • Uncheck the 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game' and close the window.
  • Restart the game if it was already running.

Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/202310/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (202310) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
