Widescreen resolution[edit]

Use Widescreen Patch[citation needed]
  1. Download the Project: Snowblind - Widescreen Patch.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive to the installation folder.
  3. Install the Visual C++ Redistributable using the included vcredist_x86.exe installer.
  4. Adjust the various settings in snowblind-widescreen.ini.

Notes

The HUD is always confined to the center 4:3 area of the screen.
Increasing or decreasing the vertical FOV from the default introduces various visual glitches.

Accessing the launcher[edit]

The launcher appears at the first attempt to launch the game, but does not reappear.

Use command line argument[4]
  1. Start the game with -setup command line argument.

Notes

Settings are exclusive for the launcher and can not be changed inside the game.
The launcher does not provide the possibility to start the game. Removing the argument is required.

Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/7010/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (7010) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
