Issues fixed[edit]

Installer doesn't work (hangs)[edit]

Analyze wait chain
  1. Open Task Manager.
  2. Find 32-bit Setup Launcher (32-bit) on the list and expand it.
  3. Right-click on every child object that belongs to the process and click on "Go to details".
  4. In the Details tab, right-click on the highlighted element and click on "Analyse Wait Chain".
  5. If there are elements on the list, select them and kill the process.

Notes:

Most common programs causing issues are logitechg_discord.exe (Discord applet for Logitech Gaming Software) and nvcontainer.exe (part of Nvidia Experience).

Motorhead is designed for Windows 95 and cannot be run on Windows Nt (Setup.exe)[edit]

  1. Copy the whole install cd to a folder on your hard drive.
  2. Download Is5Launcher.zip
  3. Extract the contents of Is5Launcher.zip on MOTOR\DISK1
  4. Set setup.exe to Windows95 compatibility mode

The pause menu is not visible in a race (Direct3D)[edit]

Use dgvoodoo2 Wrapper[citation needed]
  1. Download [1] dgvoodoo2.
  2. Copy DDRAW.DLL D3DIMM from the \MS\x86\ folder to the game install directory.

Unable to run with Direct3D[edit]

Install a separate 3Dfx-renderer[citation needed]
  1. Download nGlide
  2. Install it like normal. A message saying something like "nGlide is now installed" should appear when done
  3. Open Motorhead and go into the graphics settings
  4. Under "Renderer" at the top, select "3dFx Interactive Glide Driver".

Notes

Only resolutions up to 1024x768 are available.
