Speed is bound to frame rate and feels like it was designed for lower frame rates. The game was likely optimized for 50Hz/50FPS (PAL)

Windowed[edit]

Force windowed[citation needed]
  1. Download and run DxWnd.
  2. Click on Edit, then Add.
  3. Set the Path to <path-to-game>\MASHED.exe.
  4. Set the desired window position and size.
  5. Set Desktop for borderless fullscreen windowed.
  6. Click OK, then File and Save.

Input settings[edit]

Controller support[edit]

By default, can't use axes as buttons (e.g. Xbox 360 Controller triggers).
Fix remapping issues[citation needed]
  1. Download and run XInput Plus.
  2. Set the "Target Program" to MASHED.exe.
  3. Go to "DirectInput" and check "Enable DirectInput Output".
  4. Assign LT/RT to Button 11/12.
  5. Assign DPAD to Button 13-16.
  6. Click Apply and OK.

Fullscreen mode is limited to 60 Hz, even if the display refresh rate is set higher than that.
