Modifying the game variables
Speeds up all game animations, but not time-based events e.g. per-second health regeneration. Switches to the new frame rate only after starting an expedition. Go to <path-to-game>. Open variables.ini with Notepad or any other text editor. Search for game_speed. There will be exactly one entry. Replace the default value of 60 to the desired frame rate. Save the file. Launch the game.
