Essential improvements[edit]

Official 1.02F patch[edit]

The 1.02F Patch provides improvements for multiplayer and enables the weapon view window to function properly. It also fixes game speed problem on modern systems.

Tackleberry's Patch[edit]

Tackleberry's Patch removes the disc check, fixes all images including bitmaps (.BMPs), ranks, and scroll menus, and fixes support for Windows Vista and 7 (though 8.1 and 10 were observed to work as well).

Rainbow Colors[edit]

Fighters Anthology uses DirectDraw and suffers from a rainbow colors, a common issue with older games. See Rainbow color problems in older games for a fix. Alternatively, you can try DXGL. However, the sound in DXGL only works on some rigs.[citation needed]

The Fighters Anthology Tool Kit enables users to edit all variables in the entire game, change airbase locations on maps, extract LIBs and create custom LIBs.

Realism Patch[edit]

The Realism Patch adds additional jets, adds a custom anti-cheat system (multiplayer) and more.

Game files[edit]

All of the game files are stored in .lib files. There is no known software which can bulk extract files from them. The FATK application is the only way to browse through them and can only able to extract individual files.
