Issues unresolved

Steam Cloud does not back up saves

While the game on Steam does support Steam Cloud backups, it is not configured to back up save files.

Create symbolic link to saves (Windows)[3]
  1. Copy the savegame.___ file from <path-to-game>\INDY3 to %APPDATA%\LucasArts\Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Do not repeat this step if subsequently reinstalling the game.
  2. After confirming the file was successfully copied, delete the original.
  3. Run the Windows command prompt as an administrator.
  4. In the window which appears, type in the following: mklink "<path-to-game>\INDY3\savegame.___" "%APPDATA%\LucasArts\Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade\savegame.___"
  5. Press Enter.
  6. Close the window.

Notes:

When following the instructions on what to type into the Windows command prompt, replace <path-to-game> with the actual path to the game (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/32310/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (32310) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
