nGlide recommended settings

Original text on this page prior to its migration to StructuredDiscussions:

  • Video backend: DirectX (nGlide 2.0 does support Vulkan, but it still has some visual bugs, and it doesn't support driver forced anti-aliasing, so it is only recommended as a backup.)
  • Screen resolution: By desktop
  • Aspect ratio: Preserve original
  • Refresh rate: Depends on game. Some games will be fine setting to By desktop, but for games like Unreal that are unreliable over ~85 FPS (or games like MDK that have a 30 FPS cap) a set refresh rate may be desirable. In this case, use personal jurisdiction. For example, Unreal would work best with the monitors highest supported refresh rate under 100 Hz, whereas MDK would work best with a supported refresh rate with a multiple of 30.
  • Vertical synchronization: On
  • Gamma correction: 1.0
  • 3Dfx logo splash screen: Off
