Issues fixed[edit]
Games default monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz on launch[edit]
- Games using this engine default your monitor's refresh rate to 60 Hz on launch.
- With the exception of Vanquish, all games using this engine are locked to a 60 fps GPU render. Even so, running at 60 Hz can result in screen-tearing on higher refresh rate monitors using G-Sync or Free-sync. Using Special K to force a custom refresh rate, or using the monitor's manual refresh rate select button to switch to a higher refresh rate, can help alleviate the screen-tearing, even if the internal GPU render is still running at 60 fps.
