The Fanatec Le Mans is a racing wheel released by Fanatec in 1998.
The Le Mans being Fanatec's first racing wheel to be released. Unlike other racing wheels at the time that use bungee cords for centering spring, the Le Mans use the metal springs for centering.
The Le Mans has a (rather inferior) model in a form of the Monte Carlo which, unlike the Le Mans, lacks the stick shifter and foot pedals, and has to rely on the steering-mount analog paddles for brake and acceleration. A improved model, the Le Mans SE, has built-in rumble motors and use USB Type-A port instead of the Game Port the previous two model has. The Le Mans has a PlayStation-compatible model in a form of the Speedster.
While the Le Mans wheels were made for PC only, most models doesn't age well as they use Game Port, which requires a Game-Port-to-USB adapter to work. The only exception to this is the Le Mans SE, which use USB Type-A.
