Issues fixed[edit]

Installer not running on modern Windows versions[edit]

Run installer in compatibility mode[1]
  1. Right-click SETUP.EXE (or MSCART.EXE for the trial)
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Select the Compatibility tab.
  4. Enable Compatibility Mode for Windows 95.
If no Compatibility tab shows up for the CD installer, right-click and run the compatibility troubleshooter instead.
Compatibility mode not needed for the actual game.

"Feature not included" or "Help not supported" error when trying to open help files[edit]

Windows Vista and later need an update to open legacy Help files.
Install Windows Help program[3]
  1. Install the Windows Help program.
  2. Restart your computer if prompted.

CD music not available[edit]

CD music requires the disc in the first drive (CD-ROM 0).
Some virtual drive software might not support CD music.
Check drive is CD-ROM 0[citation needed]

Check that the drive is set to CD-ROM 0.
