Changing graphical settings requires a full game restart.

Disable chromatic aberration

Hex-edit the .exe[3]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Make a backup of ZOMBI.exe.
  3. Open ZOMBI.exe with a hex-editor such as HxD.
  4. Now search for the word chrom and you will find two sentences about chromatic aberration. The one you need to modify will be named ENABLE_CHROMATIC_ABERRATION.€SQ
  5. All you need now is to modify the phrase by changing E to D, resulting in DNABLE_CHROMATIC_ABERRATION.€SQ (example)
  6. Save the changes.

Issues fixed

Nursery crash

Minimize the game[4]
  1. When the cutscene starts, press Alt+Tab to minimize the game.
  2. Wait a moment.
  3. Get back to a game.
According to patch notes, this issue has been fixed in the game's final update.

No keyboard and mouse button prompts

After testing several scenarios in both Steam and Uplay versions of the game, this workaround fixes the issue every time:[citation needed]
  1. You need to have an active controller/gamepad. Make sure it is turned on before launching the game.
  2. Run the game, gamepad prompt appears, use the gamepad.
  3. Turn off the gamepad (disconnect USB or take out the batteries).
  4. Press any key and the keyboard prompt will appear.

(Must repeat the procedure every time the game is launched)

Crash on startup after opening company logo movies

Due to an outdated certificate, Zombi will crash on startup when attempting to verify itself with Ubisoft's servers. This can be prevented by blocking outgoing internet connections from the program.
Disable the game's internet access[5]
  1. Set Uplay/Ubisoft Connect to Offline Mode before launching the game.
  2. Alternatively, in Windows Defender Firewall, go to advanced settings and set an outbound rule blocking connections for zombie.exe.
