Issues resolved

Cutscenes do not play

Although the installer allows the user to specify any directory, it appears mandatory for the video files to be placed in a specific location. Otherwise, cutscenes are absent entirely.
Instructions
  1. Even on a 64-bit system, %PROGRAMFILES%\THQ\Yager\Movies is the correct folder despite being a 32-bit application.
  2. After that, right-click on <path-to-game>\yager_sse.exe, open the properties and select the Compatibility tab.
  3. Check Run this program as an administrator.

Now the cutscenes should play as expected, which is important as much of the story is told through them.
