Essential improvements
Where Are We
- Supported by Where are we, an automapping and game data reference utility.
Grid Cartographer
- Supported by Grid Cartographer. Its Game Link feature assists in creating the game map. This is not an automap. From the Grid Cartographer's documentation: “This approach enhances the immersion factor by allowing you to draw the map as you perceive it, not revealing every secret ahead of time. Hidden doors remain obscured, traps are left undetected and unsprung. It's still up to you to explore and record what you see on the map as you venture forth!” (premium software, no free version exists)
Version differences
- An updated PC booter release (labelled "New & Improved Version!") was released.
- A DOS version (ported from the PC booter re-release) was released as part of The Ultimate Wizardry Archives.
- The Macintosh version is a complete rewrite.[1] This version has improvements such as mouse-based menus.
