Disable Depth of Field and HDR

Significantly improves image quality and avoids several graphical issues caused by the Depth of Field
Depth of Field is buggy and several game events can cause it to temporarily enable or disable itself. Changing areas seems to usually correct the issue.
Disabling Depth of Field may cause a "ghosting" effect to occur during Spring Harvest, either showing a still image of the last point the game was ALT+Tabbed or simply fading to black at random intervals, rather than the extreme Depth of Field effect as intended
Disable Depth of Field[3]
  1. Find EnableDOF=1 in <path-to-game>\S4-SETTINGS.ini
  2. Change to EnableDOF=0
Disable HDR[3]
  1. Find EnableHDR=1 in <path-to-game>\S4-SETTINGS.ini
  2. Change to EnableHDR=0

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/312780/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (312780) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
