Stuttering
- The game stutters randomly in cutscenes, credits, shooting, walking, etc. This occurs with and without v-sync.[6] [7]
Audio stuttering
- No permanent fix. Some temporary fixes include disabling v-sync and installing the game on a faster disk drive.
Game crash on startup
Set SpaceMarine.exe to run in Windows 7 Compatibility mode[citation needed]

- On Windows desktop click Start and in the search bar type msconfig.
- Click on the Boot tab and click Advanced options...
- Check Number of processors and in the drop down menu select 8.
- Click OK and restart your computer for changes to take effect.

- After you stop playing the game, uncheck Number of processors and restart your computer to revert back to original settings.

Set Windows to automatically limit the game to eight CPU cores (Windows 10 and 11)
|
- Download the Windows ADK.
- During installation, it gives the option to select multiple tools; the only one needed is Compatibility Administrator.
- Once installed, open the Start Menu folder named Windows Kits, and launch Compatiblity Administrator (32-bit).
- Select the new database under custom databases.
- Click the database menu > Create New > Application Fix.
- Provide the full path of
SpaceMarine.exe and give it a name of choosing.
- Skip past the compatibility mode options.
- In compatibility fixes select ProcessorCountLieForHybridCPU.
- With ProcessorCountLieForHybridCPU selected click parameters and put 8 into the command line field then click ok.
- Save the database from the Database menu and give it a name when prompted.
- Select File > Install. Now the fix will automatically be applied whenever the game is launched.

Whitelist the SpaceMarine.exe and the folder in "Malwarebytes" or other "security software" and enable Vsync in game.
