Essential improvements

Sui's fix

A simple wrapper made to simplify running the game on widescreen monitors.
Fire Warrior is stretched when using a non-4:3 resolution. Sui's fix compensates by increasing the FOV, though the image will still be somewhat stretched and distorted. The WSGF.com solution provides a more accurate image, but requires a hex editor.
Installing Sui's fix[1]
  1. Download latest Sui's Fix and extract it.
  2. Move all of the files to game's directory.
  3. Edit <path-to-game>\Scripts\W40k-fixes.ini with a text editor to adjust additional settings.

Notes

Tested only with GOG's 1.50 hotfix version.

Custom configuration file by MandaloreGaming

A custom configuration file created by MandaloreGaming for his Warhammer 40K: Fire Warrior Review video. It runs the game at 1080p and fixes audio crackling issues (at the cost of lost audio effects).

A download link and installation details can be found in the Files section.

Issues fixed

High frame rate issues

Frame rates greater than +60 can cause errors in some areas, such as a hard crash when opening a door at the beginning of the second level, or causing an NPC to block your movement at the beginning of the third level.
Cap the Framerate on 60fps using Nvidia Inspector
The game uses vsync (enabled by default), so setting the monitor to 60hz fixes the problem.
