Essential improvements

Age Of Redemption Mod

The vanilla game suffers from serious bugs, which can prevent you from progressing. This mod fixes those issues, but also rebalances the game and adds additional features. It can be downloaded here.

Skip intro videos

Delete/rename logo.bik[citation needed]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\Video\.
  2. Delete or rename logo.bik.

Alternately just hit esc twice to skip the two videos to get to the main menu(this was made before unskippable bik junk)

Installation

On newer systems (x64 Systems or 64bit) the autorun install from disc wont work because of an executable error. You can still install the game from disc using the installer found on the disc in the setup folder.

For example: DVD-DRIVE\setup\setup.exe

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/559680/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (559680) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
