VR support

Issues unresolved

Game crashes to desktop when launching

The game crashes to the desktop while launching, or just after the intro video begins playing.
Video codecs/filters or media applications can cause the game to crash[2][3][4][5]
  • Users have reported that video codecs or codec packs installed on the system (including K-Lite, CCCP, VSFilter) can cause this.
  • Media applications running in the background (e.g. MPC-HC, VLC) should be fully shut down before starting the game.
  • Some users have reported success in uninstalling and/or updating codec packs.
  • Also try pressing Alt+Return as soon as the black game window appears; this forces the game to run in windowed mode which can allow you to rule out full-screen Direct3D issues.
