Twisted Metal is a singleplayer first-person and third-person automobile game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and SingleTrac and published by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. It is the first entry in the Twisted Metal series.

The PC version of the game was released in 1996, and unlike the original PlayStation version of the game which was released by Sony Interactive Entertainment (then-Sony Computer Entertainment), the PC version was released in Japan by Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
