Essential improvements

Skip intro videos

Edit GridEngine.ini[4]
  1. Open %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Disney Interactive Studios\Tron Evolution\UnrealEngine3\GridGame\Config\GridEngine.ini
  2. Add a semi-colon ; before each movie that you want to skip:
    • ;StartupMovies=Unreal
    • ;StartupMovies=GamestarLogo
    • ;StartupMovies=PropagandaLogo
    • ;StartupMovies=DisneyLogo
    • ;StartupMovies=Sc1_01_01

Those are all the movies that occur before the title screen.

Issues fixed

Crashing upon startup - Tron: Evolution requires PhysX to be installed in order to run properly

Instructions[11]

Notes

These legacy drivers can be installed even when an existing PhysX installation is present.

Use the GPU for PhysX

Instructions[12]
  • The game uses PhysX for its physics calculations. By default, the game only utilizes the CPU. If you own an Nvidia card, it's possible to force the game to use the GPU for PhysX. This will likely provide a small boost in performance.

To make this change:

  • Find the line with the text [Engine.Engine] in GridEngine.ini.
  • Now find the line with the text bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport.
  • Change this setting from True to False.
  • Save the changes you've made.

Notes

The game should now use your Nvidia GPU for PhysX.
