The game has been broken since release with two massive bugs. Firstly there are white boxes all over the menus which obscure the options, this can be manually fixed by selecting 'disble fullscreen optimisations' in the .exe file preferences, but should not be necessary. It is though.

The second game breaking bug hasn't got a fix or workaround despite it being reported shortly after launch, the developers even said they were working on it in steam discussions. This bug tanks your FPS whenever something explodes, or just occasionally because it feels like it, which makes actually controlling the worms and weapons impossible. I had the origional of this game 20 years ago and it was smooth as butter, I've no idea how they screwed this up so badly and still put it on sale despite it being unplayable in this state.
