Not sure about Windows version, but can't you manually replace the files using wine's files? That's how ReactOS works, too.

Wine has D3D12 support, yes. But indeed that's provided by VKD3D, not WineD3D.

I mean... In some very theoretical way yes, but it's pretty pointless if you ask me. Users have no reason to use upstream.

It's (very loosely) a bit like you were making a difference between wine and wine-staging.
