Inconsistant paths with XDG value

~/.config/ is indeed the default directory for XDGBDS, however this path does not prove that the specification is respected. If it is, then the config path is $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/Vessel/. If it is not, then the value of XDG is not the right one (Template:XDG).

Furthermore, the Save game data location path ~/.minecraft/saves shows us that the game does not respect the XDGBDS.

I forgot where exactly I found it, I think it was somewhere in the PCGW wiki or Discord, but it seems not included in the editing guide or anywhere else visible, but the best idea would be to launch the game with XDG_CONFIG_HOME=/tmp/pcgw (after creating a folder first) or similar and then report back.

There's also an XDG_DATA_DIRS though, and there's often inconsistency on how games place save files or similar data in config and other in data files. I've been thinking about solving it and I think the field should be used separately for config and saves, as one can be followed and the other might not.

What game should I test? This is an example page (PCGamingWiki:Sample_article), I thought it could be modified easily, since it is not about a real game. If you were thinking of testing Vessel, firstly I don't own this game, secondly the game article uses $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/Vessel/ correctly and don't seems to be inconsistent like the one we are talking about.

Note: without going into details, using by default XDG_DATA_DIRS as folder to write save games and other things is not XDGBDS compliant.
