KCD citation needed

Hi, I am a bit new to this whole wiki thing. I saw you added to my contribution "citation needed" on the Blurry texture section.

The problem is that I have no citation for this fix. I found it myself when tinkering with the engine. Should I add this to another website or forum and cite myself ? This seems counterintuitive and possibly pointless.

Hope I can resolve this, also sorry if you are not the right person to ask, like I said I am new to this stuff :)

Best regards, Andarael

Hi, sorry for the late reply. You can of course reference yourself, see the editing guide: pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/PCGamingWiki:Editing_guide/References#Self-verified_fixes_and_settings

I think even more helpful would be a comparison screenshot however and link that in that same reference. Could look like this for example <ref>{{Refcheck|user=Andarael|date=2021-06-12|comment=See [www.image.jpg comparison screenshot]}}</ref>

It's been a while since I played it and I also don't have it installed anymore but it sounded more like the general mipmap problem described in the above fix that I remember also encountered. That the FOV would have something to do with it sounded a bit odd and since I couldn't find any other reference I marked it as citation needed (in general all fixes should have some sort of reference).

Hi, thanks for the reply I will do all this when I have a bit more time

Also KCD is the only game o know that have some mips tied to fov, maybe an oversight from the devs. They had to make a lot of changes to cryengine.

Again thank you :)
