Hi, I've noticied that edit on Y5R and I was wondering why it was discontinued i didn't find anything about that around

You wouldn't, because I am in contact with Silent on Discord, but current version of SP for Y5 only "fixes" that keyboard hook thing. Rest of the fixes like ASCII crash are already fixed by official patches and as such the patch is only kept for posterity.
