As part of The Last Stand update, Valve actually went ahead and updated Left 4 Dead 2's General Controller Support via Steam Input (some of which isn't covered in the patch note), such as:
- Aside of Glyph/Button Icons, L4D2 now officially supports DualShock 4, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Xbox One Controller Support.
- By Default: Gyro Aiming is enabled for DualShock 4 and Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers. This can be turned off within the Controller Configurator.
- Steam Controller's Default Config Layout has been revamped to be much closer to Xbox 360 Control Scheme.
- Joystick-like Camera Game Action has been added for Standard Controllers, it'll function more like XInput Right Stick Camera and it is tied to In-Game Controller Settings. (complete with Aim Assist!) You can change back to pre-The Last Stand Camera (now renamed "Camera (Mouse)") if you like.
- New Game Actions: Camera Reset (designed for Gyro Aiming players), Order / Response Vocalizer Quick Menu, Spray.
- Additional fixes/changes: [Turn Around] now works, adjusted Mouse Camera Sensitivity within SI Controller Configurator, Menu Navigation fixes, skipping post-campaign stats scrawls.
