During the first couple missions, namely right before and right after the Gomez stuff, I can't actually use ESC to get out of the weapons locker & exotics interfaces. Hitting Y on my XB1 controller seems to make the game think I've exited the interface, however it still leaves me in said interface, and I can't do anything to exit it. ESC doesn't work, nothing works at all. The first issue I was able to trick the game into thinking I was progressing by hitting 1/2/3 in the weapons locker, so it thought I was switching weapons etc as it wanted me to, and brought me to the next mission. However, with the exotics thing, I can't do anything until I leave the menu, and I can't, effectively softlocking the game with absolutely no way to progress. I've tried unplugging the controller as well, it didn't help.

go into exotics before you get into the tutorial and buy something like your mansion, after that your next mission is to level up.
