Hey, it looks like you verified that TowerFall Ascension from the Epic store runs without the client, but for the life of me, I can't get it to work. Did you do anything special to get it running? Thanks in advance!

Nothing special. I shut down the Epic Games launcher and just ran TowerFall.exe by double-clicking it. You might try the -EpicPortal command-line argument if that doesn't work for you. If you're on macOS, that could potentially work differently than Windows, too.

Okay, that's what I thought. I tried the -EpicPortal thing, too, but nothing. I'm trying to do it remotely, so I'm wondering if my remote software is getting in the way (it hasn't with other DRM-free games), so I'll try it when I get home. Thanks for being willing to help, by the way.

What happens when you try launching the game? Does it give you an error message?

Okay, I figured it out: I had formatted Windows recently, and I didn't realize that I hadn't reinstalled the XNA framework. I used the installer that was downloaded with the game, and it runs perfectly now. :D Thanks again for the assistance!
