A definition doesn't imply support. This simply means they experimented with it at some point.
They enabled it at the same time they enabled HLM2 cloud ;) Unless it's not enabled completely, but I have been told the cloud is enabled and SteamDB seems to confirm it.
SteamDB says the exact opposite - see hidecloudui. Unless you have developer access (so that you can see how cloud works by specifically triggering it) this doesn't work.
Ugh, so they once again enabled it for devs only, like with HLM2 from the launch? Fair enough, I'll leave them a note and will edit it again when I'm 100% sure it works ;)

Steam states for me that no cloud support, can't enable/disable cloud, no folder is done under steams userdata folder and after removing save files from local memory they aren't loaded.
So I would pretty safely say that it doesn't use Steam Cloud. Also prefer manually looking this as steam store page and steamdb may lie in some cases.
