Hi,

First of all, welcome to the wiki! Thanks for all the edits so far.

However, I'd like to put your recent additions to the TR article to question. Primarily, they seem to be quite a bit too long to be key points. But secondly, I can personally say that I played the game from start to finish on ultra at 1080p on my own (Nvidia) setup, and I did not experience and real performance drops, both with TressFX and AMD's SSAO enabled.

Besides that, we really only focus on objective things, and do not call out console versions or take further steps to compare them with PC versions.

Key points are intended to be a very brief overview (ideally not much longer than a single line) with links to sections with more detailed information as needed. I'm not familiar with this game but it looks like the Low frame rate section covers some of these settings that cause a big performance hit; I've merged some of your details there.

Some settings are expected to be more demanding so it's not always necessary to specify that an Ultra setting will drag down less capable systems, etc.

OK just want to point out that as this is PC gaming it's up to user to decide what they want to use, if they want eye candy but under 60 FPS experience it's their own choise. This is what many mainly console gamers fail to understand that PC gaming isn't about "everything to the max 1080p/60fps!!" but about choises, for example with Tomb Raider Definitive Edition owners don't have option to disable TressFX for bigger FPS. My friend did have probelms with TressFX even with AMD card at launch, I bought the game after few patches and driver updates and I could easily play the game with everything maxed out, including TressFX, on Nvidia card. Of course disabling TressFX did gave huge FPS boost but I wanted to play with it enabled so I did!

Game does seperate TressFX to it's very own preset so that casual users don't have to worry too much and just select another preset. As for wiki page like Garrett said there are already fix for really low FPS which states both TressFX and SSAO.

I agree with Marioysikax: if that's optional no problem then.
Metro 2033 advanced depth of field is another example, but it is not an outrage

On the other hand games like dead space, which have freaking bugged v-sync (that's even enabled by default!) or games like those of GTA III era (which have so many bugs/glitches I lost the count) deserve special key points to underline these crappy facts

Mhh.. Well.. I feel like we should have as wiki the task to mention normal = SSAO while ultra = HDAO

Nevertheless we have no specific place to note it (besides maybe under isses fixed with Low performance title), but still, since 90s everybody should know that if the game lags, then they should lower graphics settings..

I think the somewhat better solution would be to make an info point just under issues fixed or video settings (as we were usual to do with games that was reviewed on tweakguides.com) linking to that hardocp article which seems good at explaining game options

I was about to reply that if setting is hidden like that it should be mentioned by note under video settings but I'm also relatively new to wiki so I'm wasn't 100% sure. Usually thing like that is noted on graphic settings sections note (like with sims 2 AA being smooth edges) but ambient occulusion doesn't have it's own section in that table.

As for differences between SSAO, HDAO, etc. we should have article explaining the differences instead of listing differences of those in one games article and telling people to use other one. If there's problems in HDAO implementation it should be noted, but I would note it with same sentence as that Ultra = HDAO.
