Patches

  • Patch v2.0 is the latest patch. The game may need to be uninstalled, reinstalled and the patch applied to make the newer content available in parks, however.
  • The Windows XP patch often solves problems with newer versions of Windows. Once again, a reinstall is often required to solve all the problems.

It is not clear whether installing one over the other can cause problems. No information about which should be installed first is available.

Game crashes on startup

Use dgVoodoo 2[citation needed]
  1. Download and setup dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Once the initial setup is done, go to the MS subfolder.
  3. Copy the D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll files and paste them into <path-to-game>.
  4. Run the game.

Black screen when running game

Commonly occurs on modern PCs.

"Correct disk is not in the drive" error during installation

Occurs under Windows XP Home due to a conflict with the game's SafeDisc copy protection.
Install official Windows update[3]

Download and install the SafeDisc Windows XP Fix for Microsoft Games.

LpkPresent not found in usp10.dll

This error message is caused by an older version of usp10.dll being used by the game.
Delete game's usp10.dll[citation needed]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Delete or rename usp10.dll.

Notes

Deletion of usp10.dll forces the game to use the Windows version of the DLL.

Game infinitely loads

Commonly occurs under Windows XP and later.
