Warnings

This game requires a virtual reality headset (see VR support for details).

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter VR is a singleplayer game in the The Vanishing of Ethan Carter series.

Game is one of the really early Unreal 4 engine games using VR and has not been updated since release, which is why game does not properly utilize modern VR settings and hardware and for input it relies solely on XInput controllers. Additionally many games visuals have not been updated to work with VR, including subtitles and touch/peek gameplay feature, which causes both eyes to have visuals in seperate locations and causing major visual distraction to player and at worst makes game fully unplayable.[2]

Issues unresolved

Blurry visuals

Games resolution scale seems to be completely broken at least on Steam version of the game[4][5] and SteamVR supersampling does not work either.[6]
Games graphics seem to be fully tied to desktop window resolution which is also capped at 1920x1080.

Resolution scale 50% and 130% look identical, overwriting resolution scale in steamVR to 500% looks identical, desktop view looks identical, desktop view cannot go beyond 1920x1080 regardless of what hotkeys and config files I edit.
