Force custom resolutions in borderless window mode[2]
  1. Set Fullscreen to Off in the game, then close it.
  2. Download the latest version of Special K (archive labeled SpecialK_x_y_zz.7z).
  3. Extract the files from the archive to <path-to-game>.
  4. Go to <path-to-game>.
  5. Rename SpecialK32.dll to d3d9.dll and SpecialK32.pdb to d3d9.pdb.
  6. Launch the game once to allow the configuration file of Special K to be created. Close the game through the main menu.
  7. Open the newly created d3d9.ini.
  8. Scroll down to [Window.System].
  9. Change Borderless and Center to true. On multi-monitor setups, change ConfineCursor to true as well to restrict the mouse cursor to the window of the game.
  10. Change OverrideRes to the resolution of the monitor (e.g. OverrideRes=2560x1440).
  11. Launch the game.

Notes

Press Ctrl+ Shift+O in-game to hide the On-Screen Display of Special K.
