Issues fixed

Resolution limited to 640x480

Use DGS Hack Fix.
Modify the executable to unlock all resolutions[11]
  1. Open TGAAC.exe with a hex editor (e.g. HxD).
  2. Go to hex offset (Ctrl+G) 5D6A6.
  3. Replace 74 with EB and save.
  4. Run the game, go to Options, PC Config, and select a display mode.

Blurry graphics on high-DPI displays

Disable DPI scaling[12]
  1. Right-click on TGAAC.exe.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Go to Compatibility, Change high DPI settings.
  4. Tick Override high DPI scaling behavior and click OK.
Use DGS Hack Fix.

Crashes when disconnecting or switching an audio device

The game has issues switching audio devices and, as a result, when the currently in-use audio device is no longer available to the game, it may crash.
This may also happen when sleeping and resuming the computer when using Bluetooth audio devices, as it will take a moment to re-connect to them after resuming and so the audio device will appear to be unavailable to the game, causing a crash.
Create a virtual audio cable and re-route its audio to the default audio device[citation needed]
  1. Install VB-Audio
  2. Open the Windows 10 Sound settings
  3. Ensure the default audio device is the headphones (or the speakers, or whichever audio device should be used for sound output at the moment)
  4. Scroll down to App Volume Device Preferences (at the bottom of the Sound settings)
  5. Make the Virtual Audio Cable the preferred output device for Great Ace Attorney
  6. Back to the Windows 10 Sound settings
  7. Temporarily select the virtual cable as the input device (as if it were a microphone)
  8. Select Device Properties
  9. Select Additional Device Properties
  10. Select the Listen tab
  11. Enable Listen to this device, and in the drop-down menu, choose to listen via the Default Playback Device
The usual microphone can now be selected as the Windows 10 input device again
If the audio device changes (if the headset is disconnected, for instance), the virtual cable input device may change its "Listen" device and start outputting audio elsewhere, like the speakers. It is possible to fix this without restarting the game by opening the virtual cable input device properties again, manually selecting to listen via any preferred output device (which will switch the listening device) and then setting it back again to Default Playback Device.

Menus get stuck scrolling

This issue is caused by mouse scrolling inputs (via the scrollwheel or via touchpad/touchscreen scrolling swipes).
Block mouse input via Special K[citation needed]
  1. Enable Special K in the game either via a Global Injection or a Local Installation of Special K
  2. Open the Special K in-game menu (Ctrl + Shift + Backspace by default)
  3. Go to the Input Management section, Enable/Disable Devices, enable the Disable Mouse Input to Game option.
