Essential improvements

Run in DOSBox

Configure DOSBox[2][3]
  1. Install Redguard normally in Windows.
  2. Install DOSBox SVN Daum.
  3. Edit the DOSBox configuration file (dosbox-SVN-Daum.conf).
  4. Change splash=true to splash=false
  5. Change memsize=16 to memsize=63
  6. Change timed=true to timed=false
  7. Save the changes.
  8. Go to the DOSBox SVN Daum installation folder and delete or rename glide2x.dll.
  9. Install nGlide and set the resolution and aspect ratio as desired.
  10. Run RGFX.EXE through DOSBox SVN Daum.

DOSBox closes on launch or shows "Fatal error: unable to load DLL" error

Fix Glide[3]

Glide is missing or incorrectly configured (see Run in DOSBox).

No sound

The Redguard launcher can't configure sound on modern versions of Windows.
Make replacement DIG.INI[3]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\sound\
  2. Make a new file called DIG.INI.
  3. Add the following lines:
